SMITH COUNTY, TX (KLTV) - A portion of the northbound lane of State Highway 155 has been closed after a two-vehicle accident on Wednesday.

The accident occurred south of Tyler and involved a red pick-up pulling a trailer and a gray GMC SUV.

The driver of the red pick-up rear-ended the gray GMC SUV, driven by Robert Sandoval, at the intersection of Toll 49 and Highway 155. The man driving the red pick-up told authorities that he was looking down, and did not realize that Sandoval's SUV  had come to a stop. Before the man could stop, he hit the SUV.

Sandoval has been taken to a Tyler hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the pick-up is being issued a citation for failure to control speed.

DPS and the Noonday Volunteer Fire Department are on the scene.
