I've Got This Neighbor: East Texan who collects birds (real live birds)

Good afternoon, everyone! I hope you're staying nice and dry on this dreary day.

We have amazing new stories line up for you today, and here's just a glimpse of some of them:

On East Texas News at 4, our Taylor Hemness will bring you the story of a really interesting East Texan in his new segment, "I've Got This Neighbor..." Today he talks to a White Oak man who collects birds. Not just two or three birds, but hundreds of them, of all kinds. He has made a home for all of them on his three acres, and we'll take you there at 4.

At 5, we'll tell you about possibly the most unusual way yet the US Postal Service has thought of to raise money. The cash-strapped agency plans to release its own clothing and accessory line! We'll show you that, as well as discuss the Papal pension and ETMC's "Pin a Sister" event that took place today.

Then at 6, our Bob Hallmark bring you the video that East Texans have been talking about all day: a distinctive breed of dog stolen from the safety of his backyard in Longview. Little did the thieves know, they were caught on camera. We'll show you the video at 6. If you recognize the thieves, call Longview police.

You'll get East Texas' best weather on KLTV at 4, 5, and 6 when Chief Meteorologist Mark Scirto joins us from the StormTracker 7 Weather Center. He'll tell you all about our severe weather potential that we may encounter tonight through tomorrow.
