UPDATE: Fire burning near Daingerfield State Park contained

UPDATE: Officials have confirmed that the fire has now been contained.

The fire started around 7:30 Sunday morning along the nature trail inside the Daingerfield State Park. It has burned 9.5 acres.

Both the Texas Forest Service and Daingerfield fire crews responded to the scene and contained the fire using 2 dozers and a Texas Forest Service helicopter.

No one was evacuated and nobody was injured.

DAINGERFIELD, TX (KLTV) - Officials have confirmed with KLTV that a fire is currently burning near Daingerfield.

The size and containment of the fire is unknown at this time. Reports are coming in that some residents in the area are being evacuated.
