Pilgrim's Pride supervisor killed in plant accident

MT. PLEASANT, TX (KLTV) - An employee at one of the Mt. Pleasant Pilgrim's Pride facilities was killed in an early morning accident at the plant.
Shortly after 1:00 am, Wednesday, Jimmy Bynum, the night shift supervisor at the protein conversion plant, was pinned under the back wheels of a truck while it was backing into a bay.
Mr. Bynum was transported to a Titus County Hospital and later transported by helicopter into a Tyler hospital.
Mr. Bynum was wearing a safety vest at the time of the accident.
Pilgrim's Pride officials are still investigating the accident.
