Nolan Ryan Hospitalized

HOUSTON, TX - Rangers CEO Nolan Ryan has been hospitalized with what is believed to be a recurrence of a previous heart condition, the team announced Monday.

Ryan was admitted after feeling discomfort at his home on Sunday.

In 2000, Ryan had double-bypass surgery and has a history of heart disease in his family.

According to the team, Ryan is resting comfortably, says he's feeling better and is expected to be released from the hospital in a few days.

Ryan is scheduled to join the team in Anaheim for a series that starts on Tuesday, he will be throwing out a the first pitch as part of the Angels Hall of Fame inductions.

Ryan was inducted into the teams Hall of Fame in 1992, and was set to receive his ring as well.
