Azleway foster family displaced by fire

TYLER, TX (KLTV) - Released by Azleway, Incorporated:

TYLER, TX - The foster children living with Max and Nancy Heinen lost a parent-figure and everything they owned in an early Saturday morning house fire triggered by the weekend storms. Max Heinen gave his live saving his foster children from the burning home. All of the family's and children's possessions were a total loss.

Chester Amidon, Children's Services Director for Azleway, Inc., expressed his sadness over the loss of Mr. Heinen. "Max and Nancy have opened their home to foster children for many years and have been exceptional foster parents for Azleway children. We mourn Max's loss and the losses suffered by Nancy and the children."

The children, ranging in age from 6–14, have been temporarily relocated to the Azleway Boys' Ranch. Donations can be made on their behalf by contacting 903-566-8444, ext 212.
