LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) - He was on the run for a month, but now, a suspected department store robber has given up. Longview police say Michael Dietz turned himself in this weekend.

Dietz is believed to be the man in surveillance video from the Longview Sears on September 24th. Police say Dietz and a female accomplice stole several video game systems, then fled while security chased them.

They say when he surrendered, Dietz said he could not take the pressure of staying on the run.

"He was pretty much getting harassed by his neighbors and his family,"said Sergeant David Scott, of the Longview Police Department. "They encouraged himself to turn himself in. It was my understanding that he pretty much asked the police department to come get him."
