LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) - The Flores family received the keys to their first home during a Habitat for Humanity Dedication celebration in Longview Sunday.

The home is the ninth "Women Build" project in Longview. New Homeowner, Mary Ann, who is a single mother of three children, calls the home her family's dream come true.

"I have come to realize that all that occurs in life is a gift from God," Flores said. "Thank you for making my family's dream a reality and I am honored to be apart of the Habitat Family."

Women-Build projects promote the involvement of women in the construction of local Habitat homes, and provide women an opportunity to develop construction skills in a nurturing and supportive environment.

The Flores won't officially move in their new home until they get all their furniture and appliances. They plan to be in their new home by Friday.
