Dog Halloween party in Tyler

TYLER, TX (KLTV) - Dog owners dressed their pets ups in wild costumes for an annual event in Tyler.

Dozens of dogs were dressed up for a Halloween costume contest at the Pets and Friends store in Tyler on Highway 110.

Our own Taylor Hemness was a judge at the event. Thirty-three dogs were entered, dressed as everything from bumble-bees  to a lobster being cooked. With prizes and trophies, the quirky event has become a favorite with dog owners.

Saturday's first place winner was a creation called Franken-pug.
