It is an expansion of a recall in April that originally included about 30,000 pounds of product. Customer complaints that the chicken appeared to be undercooked led to the recall, the U.S. Food Safety and Inspection Service stated.
According to the FDA, the recall involves select code dates of Country Time Lemonade, Tang, Arizona Tea and limited Kool-Aid powdered beverages with “best when used by” dates between May 10, 2023 and Nov. 1, 2023.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture said Evans Food Group is pulling more than 10,000 pounds of pork pellet products from store shelves. These pellets make fried pork skins or pork rinds, also known as chicharrones.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service has been working with the Centers for Disease Control to investigate a multistate outbreak of 28 Salmonella illnesses in eight states that could be connected to these chicken products.
