Tyler grew up in McKinney, Texas, so he’s excited to be back in his home state. Tyler loves the opportunity to cover Aggie football and Texas high school football.
Before coming to the Brazos Valley, Tyler was a sports anchor/reporter at KCWY in Casper, Wyoming. While in Wyoming, Tyler learned to love covering everything from Nordic skiing to rodeo.
Tyler graduated from Brigham Young University where he was a part of the University’s weekly sports show. While at BYU, Tyler also interned for the sports team at Salt Lake City’s NBC affiliate, KSL.
Tyler, his wife, and their daughter love calling Aggieland home.

No. 6 Texas A&M football opened the season with a 31-0 shutout win over Sam Houston on Saturday at Kyle Field. It was DJ Durkin’s debut as defensive coordinator and the second shutout in the Jimbo Fisher era.

The defending national champions Sam Houston fell to Montana State 42-19 in the FCS quarterfinals Saturday night at Bowers Stadium. It was the Bearkats’ first-ever playoff loss at Bowers Stadium, and their 22 game win streak came to an end (21 of those wins in the calendar year 2021).

Texas A&M picked up their 8th win of the season on Saturday with a 52-3 rout over Prairie View A&M. It was the last home game of the year, so now the Aggies hit the road to finish out the regular season in Baton Rouge to take on a 5-6 LSU squad that’s still fighting for bowl eligibility.

When Aggie football kicks off the 2021 season, they will have a new starting quarterback for the first time since 2017. Freshman Haynes King will make his first start, taking over from four-year starter Kellen Mond. Even though King doesn’t have much collegiate experience, his teammates have full faith in him.
