History is full of triumphant loners. James Bond. John Wick. The T-Rex from Jurassic Park. All went about their business alone. And while Joshua isn’t planning to weaponize pencils or terrorize theme parks anytime soon, he is an award-winning multimedia journalist, which is basically the same thing.

Winner of the 2022 Texas Association of Broadcasters Best Multimedia Journalist Award & the Region 6 Edward R. Murrow Award for Best Continuing Coverage of the Capitol Riots, Joshua writes, shoots, edits, and produces his own stories because he’s a strong independent journalist who don’t need no photog. His stories cover the gamut of people, places, and events. From crime to climate change, sports to rock and roll, there’s little he doesn’t cover.

Using his unique personality and passion for the Oxford comma, he strives to make the community a bit stronger, the world a smidge better, and engage viewers in the process. More comfortable in the dirt than in the studio, his stories have put him underneath sinks, in exclusive interviews with national politicians, and knee-deep in toxic water. He's also had a chainsaw or two thrown at him. If you see him in the field holding a stick mic, something has gone terribly wrong.

Before entering journalism, Joshua served as a Naval Officer and merchant mariner. He spent most of his twenties exploring various areas of Asia, the Middle East, North Africa, Southern Europe, Cuba, Canada, Scandinavia, and the Arctic Circle courtesy of the U.S. taxpayer.
