Jeremy Butler is one of the hosts of East Texas Now - an all-digital broadcast that is filmed live inside the newsroom. He formerly worked as the station's Digital Marketing Manager.
If you ask Jeremy, he'll tell you that the longevity and evolution of his television career is still a bit of a mystery to him. In his own words, he "lucked into a part time job in the Marketing Department" at a station when he was 20 years old, and over the next 17 years managed to learn and grow enough to turn that part-time job into a full-fledged career.
During his time at KLTV, Jeremy helped launch a number of new products. He designed the graphics and helped oversee the promotion for three niche apps for the company - The Red Zone, The East Texas Kitchen and the Noticias del Este de Texas apps.
His latest venture involves co-anchoring East Texas Now. East Texas Now is a live, digital newsdesk inside the KLTV/KTRE newsroom. Anchors cover the news as it breaks, providing coverage of events that matter to East Texans as they're happening. Jeremy says it's an honor to be able to take a leading role in shaping and growing the digital newsdesk.
Jeremy is also a published illustrator and recently illustrated a children's book.
On a personal note, he is also a proud father of his daughter Kayla.
