Adria Goins is the EMMY-nominated anchor for KSLA News 12 This Morning. She’s been a member of the KSLA team since 2010 and has been anchoring the 4:30-7 AM newscasts since 2014. She also anchors the 9 AM newscasts and shares ways to help you save in her “Spending Smarter” segment. Before joining the morning team, she covered sports across the ArkLaTex and northwest Arkansas for 10 years. As a former collegiate soccer player, Adria is an avid sports fan with a soft spot for her home state Arkansas Razorbacks.
Adria has been recognized for her hard work within the community. She was named one of Shreveport-Bossier’s Top 40 Under 40 recipients in 2017. She was also crowned the champion of Dancing for the Cure which helps raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research.
Adria graduated with a master’s and bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma before starting her broadcasting career.
When Adria isn’t reporting the news or watching sports, she’s chasing her two kids. She also coaches a youth soccer team and plays in several sports leagues. Adria is dedicated to fitness and health, so you can find her in the gym most days. She’s also participated in two half marathons. Her first race was dedicated to raising awareness for Apert Syndrome, a disorder that affects one in every 160,000 newborns. She was able to share a story of a young newborn who was born with the syndrome and help pay for some of her medical treatment and surgeries.
When parents think of Back to School often times the first thing on their list is supplies or clothing — but stocking up on things your child needs throughout the entire school year could save you money — if you do it now.
