GISD incentive program for their teachers is designed not only to improve student’s learning skills, but also to make them better teachers. Gladewater is one of four schools in the state to receive a grant from the National Institute for Excellence in Education. The 4.6 million dollars will mostly be used for teacher bonuses to reward excellence in teaching.
