LIBERTY CITY, Texas (KLTV) - Sabine’s homecoming was a happy one as the Cardinals edged Mount Vernon, 30-27.
The Tigers struck first with a 37-yard field goal from Edgar Munoz.
In the second quarter, Sabine took the lead with a three-yard touchdown run from Cason Patterson.
But on the next kickoff, Mitchell Nuziard caught it on the four-yard line and split through the coverage for a 96-yard score.

Not to be outdone, Colt Sparks on the play action went deep to Bryce Pobuda for the 59-yard score to put Sabine up 13-10.
