UT Health Pittsburg celebrates opening of new behavioral health center
PITTSBURG, Texas (KLTV) - UT Health Pittsburg held a grand opening for a new Behavioral Health Center Tuesday.
The center has been open about a month, but they wanted to make it official. They wanted to offer Camp County residents an option closer to home so they didn’t have to drive for over an hour for care. UT Health Psychiatric Rural Program Director Dr. Brandon Riley said he feels in the last few years more people have started coming forward about issues like depression.
“I do feel like years prior people would try to hide these concerns and would not be willing to discuss it with people with their deep feelings. So, I feel like having a clinic available, I feel like it’s available, it’s available for these people that have theses concerns. I think will be a great benefit,” Riley said.
The center offers consultations and therapy for child to adult psychiatry.
