Missing elderly Gilmer man found safe

GILMER, Texas (KLTV) - The Upshur County Sheriff’s Office announced the man they were looking for on Wednesday has been found safe.
Billy Joe Lankford, 89, of Gilmer, was believed to have left his home east of Gilmer during the night. Sheriff’s office and police officials searched and asked for the public’s help in locating him.
No other details were shared about Lankford’s condition.
