Water service expected to return to Lufkin customers within next several hours

LUFKIN, Texas (KTRE) - As of 11:09 p.m., the crews working on the water main break have repaired it. This break was in front of Ashley Furniture.

Service will return to the affected areas over the next several hours, according to Jessica Pebsworth with the City of Lufkin.

“Our crew is finishing up the job, so the feeder road from Chevron to Ashley Furniture (in front of the former Kmart location) is expected to be closed for at least another hour,” Pebsworth stated.

By 7 a.m. Thursday, Pebsworth confirmed that all service had been restored.
