Texas Amber Alert ends with arrest, 2-year-old boy found safe
ROCKWALL COUNTY, Texas (KWTX/Gray News) - Police in Texas say an Amber Alert for a 2-year-old boy has been canceled.
The toddler was returned safely and his father was arrested Thursday night, according to Royse City police.
The Texas Department of Public Safety initially issued the Amber Alert on Thursday for the toddler who was allegedly abducted by his father, identified by authorities as 38-year-old Daddy Sangbong.
Police said Sangbong’s attorney eventually worked with police on an agreement to surrender. He was placed under arrest at the police department.
The unharmed child was brought to the police department by a family member approximately an hour after Sangbong turned himself in, Royse City authorities said.
