Three men injured after shooting in north Laredo
LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - Authorities are investigating what led to a shooting that sent three men to the hospital Thursday afternoon.
It happened at the 800 block of Nafta and Delta right behind the Alamo Drafthouse theater at around 1 p.m.
Laredo Police said they received a call regarding shots fired in the area, at the same time they received another call regarding three men injured with bullet wounds.
Officers were seen searching the area looking for bullet casings which were confirmed to be found.
Investigator Joe Baeza with the Laredo Police Department believes it was a possible drug deal that went south.
“We believe that the people who were involved are all accounted for right now at this point, they drove themselves to the locations for their injuries so for right now there isn’t anybody at large”, said Baeza. “There wasn’t any active shooter that was just going around so I guess we’ll just put it to bed that there was some sort of issue here what appears to be some type of drug deal gone wrong.”
The men were believed to be in serious but stable condition.
No word if any will face any charges at the moment
