Our crews were there as firefighters arrived at the house which had large flames and embers shooting multiple stories high. The fire was extinguished by 6 a.m.

According to neighbors who evacuated their homes, the house had recently been vacant.

It’s unclear how the blaze started. However, a firefighter at the scene said homeless people were thought to be inside the house before the fire started. According to a deputy fire marshal, one woman was transported to a Dallas hospital with non-critical injuries.

This same neighborhood suffered significant damage following Tuesday night’s storms. At the time of the fire, trees and power lines were down in the area nearby.

Additional details were not immediately available.
