TYLER, Texas (KLTV/KTRE) - Good evening, East Texas! Here is the weather where you live... After a hot day, overnight lows will be in the mid to upper 70s with clear skies tonight. The Heat Advisory for today/Saturday has been extended until 7PM Sunday, with highs slightly warmer than they were Saturday. While skies were generally mostly sunny for Saturday, we saw more “popcorn” summer clouds than I had anticipated. That said, I’m going with mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies for Sunday, but clouds shouldn’t impact your outdoor plans much. We’ll hold onto highs in the upper 90s, with Heat Advisories likely, and mostly sunny skies, until Wednesday.

By Wednesday, highs will still be in the mid to upper 90s, but we’ll see some more clouds and low rain chances return to the forecast for Wednesday through next weekend. As of 7PM, Hurricane Henri is expected to make landfall tomorrow evening in New England as a tropical storm and this will mark the first time Hurricane Warnings have been issued for New England in 10 years. Sandy in 2012 was extratropical by the time it made landfall and Hurricane Warnings were not issued. Flooding, among other concerns will be a big factor for our friends on the north East Coast this weekend. Henri is currently moving north-northeast at 18mph and was 255mi to the south of Montauk, New York as of 7PM.
