RUSK COUNTY, Texas (KLTV) - The Rusk County Sheriff’s Office reports a homeowner arrived at their residence finding a ransacked house and several items loaded up in their own vehicle which was running.

On Monday at approximately 11:15 a.m., the Rusk County Sheriff’s Office received a burglary in progress call in the 9700 block of Hwy. 84 East in the Caldonia area.

The burglars were scared off and on foot when the homeowner called 911. All patrol staff, C.I.D., and administration responded and called out the Beto Unit dogs from TDCJ.

Jackie Webster Dennis, 41, was arrested after being tracked by the dogs. Dennis was placed in the Rusk County Jail and charged with Burglary of a Habitation with a $60,000 bond.

The Rusk County Sheriff’s Office reports more suspects will have warrants for their arrests in the coming days.
