East Texas (KLTV) - Here is the Weather Where You Live... Clear skies overnight tonight with a light/moderate NW wind. A very, very windy day on Friday. Wind/Lake Wind Advisories are in effect for much of East Texas. NW winds should blow at 15-35 mph during the day with the gustiest winds expected between 10 am and 4 pm before they slowly begin to settle some. This will be a day where driving a high-profile vehicle will be difficult at times with the wind gusting to 35 mph and even higher at times. Please use extra caution. It will be extremely rough on area lakes as well. Winds will settle on Saturday out of the NW at about 10 mph. Plenty of sunshine is expected through Monday, then clouds and rain move back into ETX. Rainfall totals of 1.50″ to nearly 3.00″ will be possible. No severe weather is anticipated...just moderate to heavy rainfall. Hopefully the rain will taper off during the day on Thursday as a weak cold front moves through. Please have a wonderful night and take care in the wind out there.
