TEXARKANA, Texas (KSLA) — Authorities have identified a man who was fatally shot in Texarkana and the person they suspect killed him.

Police say they have a warrant to arrest 20-year-old Marques Jujuan Thompson of Texarkana, Texas, on a murder charge in connection with the shooting death of 29-year-old Nichlos Muldrow, of Hope, Ark.

It was about 11:35 a.m. when someone shot Muldrow multiple times as he was driving a black sedan at the Oaklawn Village strip mall near Harbor Freight in Texarkana, officers have said.

The wounded man drove the car for a few yards more and ended up in the Whataburger parking lot. He was taken to a local hospital, where he later died.

“As you may recall, we posted on social media last week where we were looking for Thompson for having shot a man twice within a few days of each other,” says a statement from police. “At that time, he also had felony warrants for probation violation on an aggravated assault conviction where he shot someone else in 2017 and for stalking/intimidation.”

Thompson is considered to be armed and dangerous, authorities said.

They urge anyone with any information about him or Tuesday’s homicide to call them at (903) 798-3116 or call Texarkana Area Crime Stoppers at (903) 793-STOP.
