EAST TEXAS (KLTV/KTRE) - Good morning, East Texas! A chilly start with temperatures dropping into the upper 30s this morning.
Clouds this morning will gradually clear out through the day making for a partly cloudy to mostly sunny afternoon. Temperatures will stay chilly with highs in the upper 40s to near 50 degrees. More sunshine for Saturday, but still chilly before clouds increase Saturday night. Rain on Sunday could start early.
If that happens, it could start as a light rain/snow mix before changing over to all rain Sunday afternoon. The rain will then change to a rain/snow mix again Sunday evening and change to all snow Sunday night into early Monday morning.
Accumulations are possible with some travel concerns by the Monday morning commute. Temperatures will start right near freezing Monday morning, so slick spots are possible on roadways, especially on bridges and overpasses.
Road conditions should improve through the afternoon Monday as temperatures warm well above freezing. Sunshine returns Tuesday with a warming trend through the end of the work week.
