EAST TEXAS (KLTV/KTRE) - Good morning, East Texas! Clouds have increased overnight and light showers are developing early this morning. Temperatures are starting out in the upper 40s and lower 50s with light southeasterly winds. Expect more scattered showers and a few thundershowers to develop midday into the afternoon along the cold front. Some southern counties in far Deep East Texas could see a few stronger storms this afternoon with gusty winds. Rain comes to an end overnight with just a slight chance for a few sprinkles into the early hours of Thursday. However, clouds look to stick around for most of the day Thursday before clearing out Friday. Temperatures will be chilly to end the work week with highs in the upper 40s Thursday and lower 50s Friday. Sunny skies are expected Saturday with cool temperatures ahead of another cold front on Sunday. Expect rain and possibly a rain/snow mix in a few places of East Texas Sunday. No accumulations are expected and no travel problems are expected.
