Lubbock Christian University rocks UT Tyler’s women’s basketball team, 73-26

TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - The UT Tyler women’s basketball team is going through growing pains in the conference they recently joined.

Lone Star Conference has the likes of Lubbock Christian, which has been a big strength of the league. Coming to Tyler unbeaten, they rocked the Lady Patriots, 73-26,

Shala Robinson scored a team-high eight points.

At halftime, the Lady Patriots trailed by an insurmountable 30 points, 39-9. For now, this team is going through growing pains as they settle in the LSC.

On Sunday, they’ll see how much they improved since these two play again at the Herrington Center. Tip-off is at 3 p.m., and it will be part of a double header as the men tip at 5:30 p.m.
