Gregg County election administrator to retire
LONGVIEW, Texas (KLTV) - For nearly four decades she’s worked at the Gregg County Courthouse.
And Gregg County election administrator Kathryn Nealy is retiring at the end of the year. She has worked at the courthouse since before there was an election administration office. She’s been administrator for the past 15 years but before that office was opened in 1991 she worked in the tax office. She says she’ll miss her coworkers the most.
“I’ll miss all the people here at the courthouse. I’ve known a lot of people. I’ve seen a lot of people come and go. I think there’s probably about five or six people who have been here since I’ve been here and the rest of them were twelve years old. So I’ll miss the persons here who have helped us,” Nealy said.
A commission made up of several elected officials including the Gregg County judge will make a decision to hire Nealy’s replacement. If you’d like to see more with Nealy and her take on this year’s election just go to kltv.com, click on the big red box and there you will find a link.
