GREGG COUNTY, TX (KLTV) - For nearly five years, entertainer Neal McCoy has been saying the Pledge of Allegiance every day live on Facebook. He says it started when one day he typed the pledge and posted it. “And then some would read it and they’d think it’s cool so they’d just write it back to me” McCoy said. He keeps at it because of those who say it with him and he looks for what he considers milestones. His next milestone will be January 7, 2021 when he hits the five year mark.

“No matter what goes on I can at least say the Pledge of Allegiance to the United States of America and show that I still love our flag and country no matter who’s in office or who’s in congress; they’re going to determine some things but over all, the people that are really determining what’s going on in our lives are me and you. So, the one thing I can do is I can say the Pledge of Allegiance every day,” McCoy said.

Now he’s hit a number he feels is really important. KLTV’s Jamey Boyum talks with Neal McCoy about his 1776th consecutive Pledge of Allegiance.
