TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - Around 5:45 a.m. Friday, the Tyler Fire Department was called to a report of a structure fire on East Gentry Parkway and East Martin Luther King Boulevard.

According to the Tyler Fire Department, the initial call was received at 5:44 a.m., with witnesses seeing smoke and flames coming from the vacant building in the 2000 block of E. Gentry Pkwy.

The Tyler Fire Department responded with three engines, one ladder truck, a battalion chief, and an Investigator.

Paul Findley with Tyler Fire tells us they’re working to learn what type of building this structure is and to find the cause of the fire. Findley tells us the flames were controlled around 6:05 a.m. and that there are no reported injuries.
