EAST TEXAS (KLTV/KTRE) - The USDA weekly Texas hay report says trades were mostly steady to firm.
The winter weather across the panhandle last week gave winter wheat crops a much-needed boost.
Meanwhile, South and West Texas remain very dry. As a result, grazing is very scarce in both regions and supplemental feeding is in full swing.
Producers here in east texas and in northern parts are having a hard time loading out hay due to excess moisture and mud, slowing the hay trade down.
