Accused ‘Lavender Doe’ killer has status hearing set

TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - An East Texas man jailed for the murders of two women was in court Thursday.

Joseph Burnette appeared in the 188th district court in Longview today.

He’s accused of the 2006 murder of the then unidentified women 'Lavender Doe", who was identified in 2018 as Dana Dodd of Jacksonville, and the 2018 killing of Felisha Pearson of Longview.

Burnette is set for a status hearing on his case on December 12.
