QUITMAN, TEXAS (KLTV) - Crews are at the scene of a traffic crash just east of Quitman.
According to authorities, crews were dispatched at about 8:59 a.m. to a wreck on Highway 154 and County Road 3120. A DPS trooper on scene reported three vehicles were involved in the wreck. It’s reported one vehicle did catch on fire.
Four people were transported from the scene to local hospitals. At least one was transported via careflight. The extent of their injuries is unknown at this time but no fatalities have been reported.
The DPS trooper report the crash occurred when the driver a Dodge truck attempted to make a right turn into a driveway while traveling eastbound on Highway 154. This caused the car behind the truck to slam into the back of the vehicle which forced the truck to spin into the westbound lanes.
There the truck collided with a Ford pickup. The impact of the collision than caused the pickup to burst into flames.
At this time, one lane of traffic has been reopened on Highway 154 at the scene of the crash.
