GREGG COUNTY, Texas (KLTV) - The Gregg County Sheriff’s Office believes the robbery of a Liberty City bank may be connected to another bank robbery in Texas.
According to Lt. Joshua Tubb, a spokesman for the sheriff’s office, they believe the robbery of the First National Bank in Liberty City is connected to a bank robbery in Hays County.
The robbery occurred on June 28. According to Tubb, they received a call at about 9:11 a.m., reporting the robbery at the bank, located at FM 125 and Old Kilgore Highway.
At the time, they described the suspect to be a 6-foot-tall man. He was wearing jeans and a light denim jacket with a dark-colored hoodie at the time of the robbery.
The suspect brandished a gun during the robbery and was carrying a bag with a stripe, according to Tubb.
