East Texans still without power after Wednesday night’s storms
Overnights storms toppled trees and caused damage to the area of Chandler

EAST TEXAS, TX (KLTV) - Some East Texans are still without power following the storms that rolled through early Thursday morning.

Oncor is reporting about 542 customers are without power as of 11:22 a.m. Thursday. A majority of those power outages are in the area south of Tyler, near the city of Chandler.

The city of Chandler saw heavy damage during the storms. Strong winds knocked down large trees and power lines, causing outages throughout the area.

Houston County Electric Cooperative is reporting about 2426 customers are without power. Areas of concern include the area just east of the city of Elkhart, near the city of Solcum and as well as the area near Hopewell.

Collectively, SWEPCO, Wood County Electric, Upshur Rural and Trinity Valley Electric are reporting about 16 outages as of 11:27 a.m.
