TYLER, TX (KLTV) - Another storm system is heading toward East Texas.
We are likely to begin feeling this one during the morning hours on Saturday with some rain and a few thundershowers, but as we head into the afternoon, we are looking for the stronger/more severe storms to occur.
At this time, the greatest risks for the afternoon storms are likely to be large hail and strong thunderstorm winds. An isolated tornado or some minor flash flooding cannot be ruled out.
A cold front is expected to race through East Texas late on Saturday, clearing out any additional storms from occurring. This weekend, storm potential is just for Saturday, not the double-barrel system we had last weekend. Rainfall totals are likely to be in the 1.00″ to 1.50″ range with a few locations getting more.
As we get nearer to the weekend, we will be able to pinpoint a more exact time and zero in on the threats to our area. Please stay tuned for further updates.
