TYLER, TX (KLTV) - Legacy Measurement Solutions Inc. has issued a WARN notification to the Texas Workforce Commission stating that the business plans to lay off 59 employees at its Tyler location.
The notification was among several that the Texas Work Force Commission sent out on Monday.
Companies are required by state law to file WARN notices with the TWC to announce pending layoffs or workforce adjustments. WARN stands for Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification.
“Under certain circumstances, the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) Act requires you to provide notice 60 days in advance of plant closures or mass layoffs,” the TWC website states. “The WARN Act is intended to offer protection to workers, their families, and communities.”
East Texas News made multiple attempts to contact the leadership of Legacy Measurement Solutions, but they were all unsuccessful.
