TYLER, TX (KLTV) - Tyler Fire Department responded to a structure fire in a car repair business on Tuesday night.
According to Deputy Fire Marshal Jay McClung, the fire at Daniel’s Auto Repair started inside the cab of a car on the lift inside one of the bays. The shop owner came to the scene and tried to extinguish the fire, but could not. The fire department arrived and put the fire out. The shop has some smoke and heat damage as a result.
The cause of the fire is not known at this time. The bays were closed and locked when the fire started.
“Sometimes all your clues burn up, as well,” said McClung.
The repair shop is located at 630 N. Gentry Parkway.
