EAST TEXAS (KLTV) - The National Weather Service issued a series of severe thunderstorm watches and warnings Sunday night as storms moved through East Texas.

2:45 a.m.

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for Smith, Rusk, Cherokee, and Gregg Counties until 3:45 a.m.

2:30 a.m.

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for Smith, Harrison, Panola, Rusk, Wood, Upshur, and Gregg Counties until 3:30 a.m.

2:18 a.m.

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for Cass, Marion, Harrison, and Panola Counties until 3:15 a.m.

The Tornado Warning for Upshur, Gregg, and Harrison Counties has been allowed to expire.

2:04 a.m.

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for Henderson, Van Zandt Counties until 3:15 a.m.

1:52 a.m.

A Tornado Warning has been issued for Upshur, Gregg, and Harrison Counties until 2:15 a.m. Locations impacted by this storm include Diana around 2 a.m. and Harleton around 2:15 a.m.

1:31 a.m.

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for Cass, Marion, Harrison, Upshur, Morris, Titus, Camp, and Gregg Counties until 2:15 a.m.

1:28 a.m.

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning is in effect for Smith, Harrison, Rusk, Wood, Upshur, and Gregg Counties until 2:30 a.m.

The Tornado Warning for Wood and Franklin Counties has been allowed to expire.

1 a.m.

Severe Thunderstorm Warning in effect until 1:30 AM for Camp, Franklin, Morris, and Titus. Biggest threats are gusty winds of 70+ mph and small hail.

A tornado warning for Hopkins County has expired. Wood County and southern Franklin County remain under a tornado warning.

11 p.m.

Severe thunderstorm warnings issued for Upshur, Wood counties through 12 a.m.

10:24 p.m.

The NWS has extended a severe thunderstorm watch to include Gregg and Smith Counties. Other East Texas counties under a watch until 12 a.m. include: Bowie; Camp; Cass; Franklin; Morris; Titus; Upshur and Wood.

A severe thunderstorm warning for Wood County is in effect until 11 p.m. The NWS said at 10:27 p.m., a severe thunderstorm was located 8 miles east of Emory, or 15 miles northwest of Mineola, moving east at 25 mph. Hazards include ping pong ball-size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.
