TITUS COUNTY, TX (KLTV) - The massive statue of Bo Pilgrim’s head no longer sits along Hwy 271 North in Pittsburg.

On March 4, Pilgrim’s announced through JBS Processing that the family of the late Bo Pilgrim requested the landmark “Bo Head” statue be returned to them. The 37-foot tall statue was located at the Walker Creek office building where it sat atop a pavilion with benches underneath.

Along with the “Bo Head”, the bronze statue of Lonnie “Bo” Pilgrim and his pet chicken, Henrietta, which sat under the larger statue, is also gone.

It’s been donated to the Pilgrim Bank Mount Pleasant South branch, according to a statement from JBS. The smaller statue will become a permanent fixture at the bank at 2401 South Jefferson Avenue.
