MOUNT PLEASANT, TX (KLTV) - One man is dead and his wife is in custody following a fatal stabbing in Mount Pleasant.

About 1:15 a.m. Friday, Mount Pleasant Police Department officers responded to Oak Manor Apartment complex in the 2200 block of North Edwards Avenue after they received a 911 call.

When officers arrived, they found Roberto Espinoza, 26, of Mount Pleasant with injuries. Espinoza was transported to a hospital but died a short time later, according to MPPD.

Homicide investigators arrested Espinoza’s wife, Araceli Espinoza, 23.

Araceli Espinoza is charged with first degree murder.
