TYLER, TX (KLTV) - The Tyler Police Department honored some of their own, as well as exemplary citizens, at their annual Awards Banquet on Tuesday night.

The ceremony presented awards for Rookie, Officer, Supervisor, Civilian, and Unit of the Year, plus merit-based awards such as Life Saving, Medal of Valor, Meritorious Conduct, and awards related to major events.

“Congratulations to the Master Award recipients who were recognized at the 2018 Tyler Police Department’s Awards Banquet,” a press release stated.

  • Sworn supervisor of the Year - Lt. Paul Robeson
  • Plainclothes Officer of the Year - Dt. Doyle Lynch
  • Rookie of the Year - Officer Jackson Hug
  • Unit of the Year - Evening Shift Patrol
  • Civilian Supervisor of the Year - Erin Walker
  • Civilian Employee of the Year - Joy Fry
  • Volunteer of the Year - Sandy McClain
