East Texas (KLTV/KTRE) - Here is a look at the weather where you live: This morning a thick sheet of cloud cover hangs over East Texas, thankfully keeping morning lows well away from freezing. As we head into the early afternoon we should see some breaks in the cloud cover with a nice mix of sunshine and clouds with northerly winds ranging from 5-15 mph and highs struggling to reach 50 degrees. Mostly sunny skies to start your Monday with another round of cool lower 50s for highs, then a nice warming trend takes place bringing middle 50s for highs by Tuesday and then lower 60s by Wednesday to bring us slightly above average for seasonal norms. We will see increasing cloud cover by Wednesday and slight chances for rain returning to the forecast Thursday as a weak cold front is expected to move through East Texas early on Thursday. We will stay dry for a few hours before another stronger cold front is expected to arrive late Friday/early Sunday bringing another chance for rain and much cooler temperatures.
