Jacksonville Police: Man admits to killing person at apartment complex

JACKSONVILLE, TX (KLTV) - The Jacksonville Police Department said a person was arrested after admitting to killing a person at a Jacksonville apartment complex.

According to Jacksonville Police, at approximately 7:31 a.m. Monday, a person later identified as London Castleberry entered the lobby of the Jacksonville Police Department and contacted the communications center via the lobby telephone.

Castleberry said that he had killed another person at Travis Towers Apartments located in the 500 block of S. Ragsdale Street in Jacksonville.

Officers responded to the JPD lobby as well as to the Travis Towers Apartments where a victim was found deceased.

Police said the victim was identified as Robert Barclay of Jacksonville and next of kin was notified.

Upon further investigation, an arrest warrant was obtained and Castleberry was taken into custody and transported to the Cherokee County Jail without incident.
