TYLER, TX (KLTV) - Remember Libby and Gizmo? The inseparable cat and dog pair looking for a new home? Well, they’re still looking.
After our initial story on Christmas day, the Berksons received a lot of inquiries about the pair. Unfortunately, they all fell through.
One family, which seemed like a promising home for the pair, found out the hard way that their daughter was allergic to Gizmo.
“We have had inquiries from Wisconsin, Kansas, Washington and Maine,” said Andrew Berkson who is currently caring for the animals. “Unfortunately, we have only had one qualified family come over to meet them then discovered that one of the young ladies was very allergic to Gizmo. They looked very promising to that point.”
Berkson said Libby, the very shy German shepherd, is making progress every day.
“Libby continues to progress. It is slow but indeed steady,” said Berkson. “We have been taking long walks in our neighborhood and she seems to really enjoy these. She walks very nicely on a leash without pulling and frequently looking up to check in with me.”
