Whitehouse native Patrick Mahomes is one of six Kansas City Chiefs headed to the Pro Bowl.

KANSAS CITY (KLTV) - No surprise here, as Patrick Mahomes has lit up every throwing record set by previous quarterbacks.

Mahomes is set to compete in this year’s Pro Bowl.

“Thankful for the Chief’s kingdom for voting, and being supportive of me and my teammates but it is truly a special thing," said Mahomes. “I remember growing up as a little kid watching the skills challenges, in the Pro Bowl and thinking how cool it was.”

Leading the Chiefs to an 11-3 record, and has KC positioned to be the top seed in the AFC.

He also became a spokesman for Hunt’s ketchup, as they bank on his love for the condiment to ring up sales. As for the Pro Bowl the only way he won’t play is if the Chiefs are in the Super Bowl. Have a hunch he’d rather play in Atlanta, than Orlando.

“For me to be in this spot, I mean it’s a credit to my teammates. They’re making me look really really good out there,” said Mahomes.
