Tyler police identify suspect arrested in Westwood Shopping Center shooting

TYLER, TX (KLTV) - Tyler police have identified the suspect arrested in connection to a shooting at the Westwood Shopping Center on Sunday.

Kristian Perdomo, 25, was arrested and booked into the Smith County jail on Sunday. Perdomo is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. His bond has been set at $1 million.

According to Tyler police, at about 4:10 p.m. Sunday they recieved reports of a shooting at the Westwood Shopping Center, located near the intersection of Chandler Highway and South Southwest Loop 323. Upon arrival, police found one victim who was transported to the hospital in critical condtion.

Witnesses at the scene were able to give a description of the suspect which lead to Perdomo’s arrest.

Tyler police said at this time it is unclear where this shooting is related to previous shootings that have taken place over the past two weeks.
