According to officials, the woman called 911 as water began to quickly approach her home. Game Warden Brad Clark with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department said they had to utilize a boat in order to rescue her.

“She is in the home by herself and there’s no other way to get to her with the water coming up as fast as it is without a boat, so we were able to use the boat to go get her," he said.

Clark said this isn’t the first time she’s been rescued from her home.

“I think she’s had to be rescued out of her house one other time just because of the proximity to Mud Creek that she lives," he said.

No injuries were reported in the rescue. Officials said the woman is doing okay and plans to stay with relatives for the time being.
